Best Friends for Frosting is a website that exhibits this mother & daughter's passion for the sweeter things in life. Since Melissa was very young, she’ s been hard at work in the kitchen with her mom making goodies for friends and family. Fridays were always dedicated to not only mother-daughter slumber parties, but also experimentation with dough and frosting for Nancy’ s husband of 37 years, and sweet tooth aficionado, Bob.

With 15+ years of experience under her belt, Melissa set out to fulfill her dream of owning a bakery. After working at a few local bakeries, she realized that her love of baked goods was more focused on having it as a hobby where creative freedom far outweighed the desire to sell and make a profit.

Nancy and Melissa consider themselves Craft Stylists when it comes to baking. From the beginning stages of conceiving a recipe, then following it through to the very end with frosting, piping and sprinkles, the pair go into each project with meticulous attention to detail and with the soul of true perfectionists. No original recipe is complete until the trial and error process has been exhausted resulting in a flawless tasty conclusion.

Nancy is the co-owner (along with husband, Bob) of a 22-year-old senior homecare agency. She is also the mother of three, and the grandmother of one. Melissa is married and the brand new mom to 8-month-old, Charlie. Melissa’ s husband, Andy, is the owner of an up and coming website that showcases indie music, artists and fashion designers.

As Best Friends for Frosting evolves you can be sure to be introduced to classic dessert recipes, as well as completely original ones invented by Nancy and Melissa. You can also expect lots of “ how-to” and DIY projects, and a “ Things We Love” section. So accept Nancy and Melissa’ s invitation into their kitchen and get ready to be inspired
